Luke 12:1–5 (NLT)
1. Meanwhile, the crowds grew until thousands were milling about and stepping on each other. Jesus turned first to his disciples and warned them, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees—their hypocrisy.
2 The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
3 Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!
4 “Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that.
5 But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.
It seems like our world is falling apart at the seams and everyone is attacking each other. Don’t allow what you are seeing to scare you as these are the signs that Jesus is coming soon. Strengthen yourself in the Lord and lift your head praising our God Yehovah and our Messiah Jesus.
When I started hearing the things that are happening in the news, not only in the government but entertainment and the church shootings my heart turned inward to seek the voice of the Lord and he reminded me of the above verse. And while meditating on this verse I understood Jesus’ thoughts looking at the people and his heart turned toward the last days when the people would be great in number to the point that we would be “milling about and stepping on each other.” He then turned to his disciples and warned them, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and their hypocrisy.” In our life, this applies not only to religious leaders but to every leader who has influence in our lives, including government, entertainment, and business. We have heard these leaders say they care about us and want to do those things that will help us, but when given the opportunity to make a difference they show their hypocrisy and do just the opposite. They reveal the truth of their nature, turning on the man Yehovah has chosen as our leader and openly attacking those who stand for righteousness. They reveal what is known as the “Deep State,” a satanic movement that has existed since the fall of man to undermine the plan of Yehovah and bring forth the revelation of the son of perdition, also known as the Antichrist. This Deep State is more than just those in government seeking to take control of our government, but entertainers, powerful businessmen and false religious leaders who have worshiped the ways of Satan for centuries, but kept it hidden from us to forward their doctrine to bring about the world leader they truly want – The Antichrist. These things are found in the scriptures and if you are not aware of them, you are not prepared for what is going to happen and may very likely be caught up in the deception that is going to come upon the entire world. You need to add these things to your Bible Study, for they are very important to the things that will be happening in the last days bringing Jesus back to the Earth.
Do you remember this verse?
Matthew 16:18 (ESV)
18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Did you know, when Jesus said this they were on Mount Hermon? Did you know that this mount was the place where the Watchers, the angels sent by God came down to the earth? Those who would later be known as fallen angels. Additionally, on Mount Hermon, there is a temple to the pagan god Pan and a cave called the Gates of Hell. It was believed that this was a portal into the underworld where these demonic beings dwell (IE. Pagan gods). This verse was not a declaration that Peter would be the leader of the Church, but literally a challenge to the gods of this earth that Jesus’ Church, those who are led by the revelation of the Holy Spirit would not be defeated by the gods of this world. That the revelations that we receive from the Holy Spirit would never be overcome by the gods/demons/fallen angels of this world. This was an all-out mocking of their kingdom. He was figuratively throwing down the gauntlet in face of the fallen ones. The kingdom of the fallen. That is the battle we are fighting today. The battle of the kingdom of Yehovah against the kingdom of darkness.
That is what is happening today. The hypocrisy of those of the kingdom of this world is being revealed. They have hidden in the darkness for many years, full of hypocrisy, but the Holy Spirit is bringing these things, these people out into the light and they are being exposed for who they truly are. And Jesus is repeating the warning of Luke 12:1-5 to beware of their hypocrisy and do not be found siding with those who are aligned with the kingdom of darkness. When their hypocrisy is revealed they will rail against others in anger and hatred unable to restrain themselves for they cannot endure the light of the truth and they become violent, even to the point of killing innocent people. They cannot stand the righteous because the light of the righteous reveals their darkness and they become violent because of it.
What can we do then? This scripture tells us how to live currently. Verse 4 tells us not to be afraid of what is happening around us. Even if they kill us, we are not to fear, we are not to flee, but we are to stand strong and declare the glory of Yehovah because His kingdom will never be overcome. Instead of fearing man, fear Yehovah and know that we are in the last of the last days and all they can do to us is to kill our bodies, but they cannot touch our spirits who are in the hands of the almighty God Yehovah.
The warning here is to be aware and not find ourselves in association with those who are in the darkness. We are instead when we see these things happening, we are being given the opportunity to repent and come back into alignment and the light of the word of Yehovah.
This brings us to the ending in the book of Revelation:
Revelation 22:10–14 (ESV)
10 And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
11 Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”
12 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Jesus is telling us here not to struggle against those who are in the darkness. If they are open to the light, then lead them to the light of the salvation of Jesus, but if they are full of hatred and violence, leave them as they are. They will receive that which they are due when Jesus is revealed. We are instead to seek to live Godly lives lining up our lives with the ways of Yehovah found in the Bible. Seek first and only the ways of the kingdom of Yehovah and flee the ways of this world and we will be blessed when He is revealed.
Live in Yehovah’s Love!
