The Seven Seals – Seal Four*

The Forth Seal relates to many of the things that we are experiencing right now in our own government and other countries around the world.

Seal Four – Pale Horse
Event Sequence # 11   (Find in the Chart)
Event Scriptures:
Revelation 6:7-8

Pale Horse

Revelation 6:7-8
7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The pale horse is revealed with the fourth seal (6:7, 8) and brings with it Death and Hell.  Elsewhere in the Bible, the word pale is translated green and is symbolic of wisdom.  In its simplest form, we would have to say the rider comes on the strength of his own wisdom and believes in what he is doing.  However, what he brings is Death and Hell on earth.  The word power here means permission, so he receives permission over one-fourth of the earth to kill in war, torture, torment, starvation, disease, pestilence (chemical and biological), and with any other inhuman form of torture.

This horse brings a form of understanding that doesn’t make sense.  It believes the right way of doing things is to cause pain, death and suffering in order to reach its goals.  There are a great many forces at work in our world today that believe exactly that way.  These are governmental, economic and religious in origin.  Its purpose is to create an unbearable environment within which people are forced to live in order to control them until the forces behind these actions have obtained the power they desired by doing these things.  Stop and meditate on this for a moment, you already know we are experiencing this in the world right now and this is going to be a topic we will be returning to in our studies in a later chapter.
