Before we get into our study for this week, I want to make you aware of what you’re going to discover as you gain insight into these things, as each revelation flows together in a logical progression from one event to the next. When you’re done you are not going to be scratching your head wondering what is that supposed to mean. Traditional studies make the mistake of looking at the book of Revelation as one long story and pulled scriptures (out of context) from other parts of the Bible to interpret the book. But when they did they came up with strange and incomplete answers, which didn’t make any sense and created conflicts with other parts of the book of Revelation. There was no rational for why this happened in one judgment and that happened in the next. But when studied from the seven stores perspective, we get an entirely new insight, which when brought together creates a complete picture with no conflicts and the events that happen in one judgment make sense and set the stage for the next judgment. Everything is going to be simple, logical and make sense.
Now let’s take a look at Seal Two.
Seal Two – The Red Horse
Seq. # 9
Ref: Rev. 6:3-4
Revelation 6:3-4
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
With the second seal, (6:3, 4) the red horse takes peace from the earth so that people would kill one another. The symbolism of the red horse is very interesting. While the horse is a symbol of strength and war, the color red is that of judgment or atonement through the blood. Taking that imagery we look at the second seal as use of war (the sword) as a means to bring forth purification in the earth through the belief that killing others is a holy act.
Once again, this makes one wonder about the teachings of Islam in the Koran, which teaches to kill all the infidels, Jews and Christians, and anyone who will not convert to Islam or those who leave Islam. Their goal through terrorism is to remove peace and replace it with fear and death. Moreover, they receive a great sword to do it through those nations they conquered in the first seal. They are fulfilling a holy war of purification to cleanse the earth and that is a major teaching found in Islam.
Live in God’s Peace.
