The Seven Seals – Seal One*

The mysteries of the Seven Seals is wrought with a myriad of different interpretations, but when we study the book of Revelation from the perspective of seven stories and a little common sense we get an easy and clear picture of the events leading up to the Tribulation.

To help in following the sequence of events keep the Revelation Chart (here) and Timeline (here) available to aid you in your studies.  I will be giving the event sequence and scriptures related to that event, which can be found in both the Chart and Timeline.
Seal One – The White Horse
Seq. # 8
Ref:      Rev 6:1-2         (Story 2)Revelation 6:1-2
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Our traditions try to teach us that the person on the white horse is the Antichrist.  However, that creates a problem then with the horses that follow in seal two, three and four.  If the rider of this first horse is a person, then we must apply that rule to that pattern of the next three seals also, which simply does not work as those are events not personages.  Additionally, as we will discover the personage we know at the Antichrist does appear later in the sequence of events, so saying this rider is the Antichrist cannot apply to this imagery.  To remain faithful to scripture we must maintain the context of all four horses.

In this context white is a symbol of holiness and since this horse is bringing war we can conclude he is bringing a Holy War.  Note that the rider has a bow, but no arrows.  This tells us that he is creating a war with no focus.  There is no point to his war as it is not directed at any one target as the (missing) arrows would represent.  His attacks are random and without clear goals.  The rider is given a crown, but he does not have authority or dominion himself, it is given to him from another, He is going out to conquer on behalf of another.

Have you figured it out yet?

The White Horse of the Seal One is the rise of Terrorism.
