As Christians, we live under the Grace of God. As our relationship with God grows deeper, blessings get bigger. But don’t let that relationship get taken for granted. Treating God as your ‘good’old boy’ back home will only lead to trouble, and Satan will use it to gain a foothold in your life. Throughout the scriptures we are warned to fear God, which means we are always to show Him the reverence, respect, and honor He is due for the grace He has given to us. I like the way the New Living Translation says it in Ecc 5:1-2 “As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. (2) Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.” Next time you find yourself in the presence of God, think twice before you act.
